mangalore incidents reaction

The incident shows the sorry state of affairs.The struggle that entire India is going through. we are caught in our own confusion whether we want to advance really or not.
One group attacks women saying culture, the other group condemns it.
When obscene wall posters are in public the other group raises a hue and cry.

the Information and broad casting minister has banned any adult forms of telecast to the indian public even in the wee hours of the night citing culture as one of the reasons.

So what is the culture. Hurting each other, hurting people on gender,
I would ask how many of you would respect a girl in scantly dressed clothes.
I am not against dressing scantily, its more to do with the individual than with the society. In no means any organisation can curb that freedom

I think it is shameful that so many politicians have talked against pub culture because they dont want to been as supporting western culture. Truth is that every man can do what he wants until it does not break a law and hurt others. No one has the right to question any one. This vigilante justice and making a criminal a hero speaks volume of the bigotry of Indian society. When will we ever learn that India is a plural society and not all fingers will be the same. Every one has the right to choose the way he/she wants to live his/her life.

Tryst with Destiny

Today is April 11 th, the day I was born. Just as usual this birthday is supposed to be a relatively calm day. Shopping was the trend of the day.I have seen my bro saying that its been 6 yrs since the graft bill has not been cleared so that money stashed abroad can be brought to India. One thing about being in India and not being in India is that you get an outsiders view about Indian politics so you are no more biased about liking a party. Here you would find people with doctorates go crazy over their affiliations with a faction but you can also observer that people can become more matured on comparing our leaders to the leaders of the world.
