Of Saints and corrupt ministers

Last couple of weeks is the few weeks I had to relax a bit. As life starts to catch me again, let me write about a few stories of the week.
A saint a philosopher and a self proclaimed avatar of God reaches his final destination in the journey of life. He proclaimed that he would live till 96 for starters. A man who made millions to follow him. History would support him as being the most influential and spiritual leader in Hinduism to have effected the most number of Indians. He leaves a legacy of good deeds and I neither know the truth in his scandals nor completely approve of his so called magic. Whatever he has done, hopefully the good deeds initiated by his followers continue. 40K crores and a few set of reliable trustees, now is the time when the drama begins.

Moving on to the next stories.
The daughter of DMK chief is chargesheeted for being a part of the 2G scandal. No money lost but lots of people getting involved shows a violent system. Suresh Kalmadi is arrested for his role in CWG scam. A scam awaiting to burst was CWG games scam. Got to see how many more are involved.

Now my question is

Who is God.

God is defined in the Vedas as Ishvara as the supreme being
What are the characterstics of God.
One set of attributes (and their common interpretations) are:
Jñāna (Omniscience), defined as the power to know about all beings simultaneously;
Aishvarya (Sovereignty, derived from the word Ishvara), which consists in unchallenged rule over all;
Shakti (Energy), or power, which is the capacity to make the impossible possible;
Bala/Bela (Strength), which is the capacity to support everything by will and without any fatigue;
Vīrya (Vigor), or valour which indicates the power to retain immateriality as the supreme being in spite of being the material cause of mutable creations; and
Tejas (Splendor), which expresses his self-sufficiency and the capacity to overpower everything by his spiritual effulgence; (cited from Bhakti Schools of Vedanta, by Swami Tapasyānanda.)
A second set of six characteristics are
Jñāna (Omniscience),
Vairagya (Detachment),
Yashas (Fame),
Aishvarya (Sovereignty, derived from the word Ishvara),
Srī (Glory) and
Dharma (Righteousness).
Other important qualities attributed to God are Gambhīrya (grandeur), Audārya (generosity), and Kārunya (compassion).

So before making anyone god just look at the characteristics and compare them with these, the truth comes automatically.

Its perception which people make anyone and everyone God, ignoring the true definition. So we have many BABAs and self proclaimed Gods.

A pure soul is all we need.

On Saint-Gods - An avathar is expected to end sometime or other. People tend to forget the line that seperates Guru and Godhead, which is what happenned/is happenning in many cases including that of late Sri Satya Sai Baba. May his soul rest in peace. CWG, 2G, Adarsh etc - The saga continues and we are left to be mute spectators, as usual.

Sarfarosh ki Tamanna = The time for a revolution.

Hai liye hathyaar dushman taak mein baitha udhar, Aur hum tayaar hai seena liye apna idhar, Khoon se khelenge holi gar watan mushkil me hai, Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil me hai, Dekhna hai zor kitna baju e katil me hai." "Haath jin me ho junoon katate nahi talwar se, Sar jo uth jate hai wo jhukte nahi lalkaar se, Aur bhadke ga wo shola sa hamare dil me hai, Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil me hai." "Hum to ghar se nikale hi the bandh kar sar pe kafaan, Jaan hateli par liye lo kar chale hai ye kadam, Zindagi to apni mehmaan mout ke ke mehfiil mein hai Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil me hai." "Dil mein toofano ki doli aur naso mein INQUILAB, Hosh dushman ke udaa denge hame roko na aaj, Duur reh paye jo humse dum kaha manjil mein hai, Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil me hai. Dekhna hai zor kitna baju e katil me hai."

A quote for Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. Any thoughts
